Booking & Reservations
How do I book a cottage?
You can book directly through our VRBO listings or contact us through our website. We recommend booking through VRBO for instant confirmation and access to their secure payment system.
What is your cancellation policy?
Our cancellation policy follows VRBO's standard guidelines. Free cancellation is available up to 60 days before check-in. Cancellations made between 60-30 days receive a 50% refund, and cancellations within 30 days are non-refundable. We recommend purchasing travel insurance for added protection.
What are the check-in and check-out times?
Check-in is at 4:00 PM and check-out is at 10:00 AM. Early check-in or late check-out may be available upon request, subject to availability and prior approval.
Is there a minimum stay requirement?
Yes, we have a 2-night minimum stay during off-peak season and a 3-night minimum during peak summer season and holidays. Weekly rates are available for extended stays.
Amenities & Property
Are the cottages pet-friendly?
We love pets! Both cottages welcome well-behaved dogs with prior approval. A pet fee of $75 per stay applies. Please contact us before booking to ensure your pet meets our guidelines.
Is WiFi available?
Yes, both cottages have high-speed WiFi included at no additional charge. Perfect for remote work or streaming your favorite shows.
Do the cottages have air conditioning?
Yes, both cottages are fully climate-controlled with central air conditioning and heating for year-round comfort.
Are linens and towels provided?
Yes, we provide all bed linens, bath towels, and beach towels. We also supply basic toiletries, paper products, and a starter supply of kitchen essentials.
Is there parking available?
Yes, each cottage has dedicated parking spaces. The Pearl Beach Lakehouse has space for 4-5 vehicles, and the Lakehurst Bungalow accommodates 3-4 vehicles.
Location & Access
Do you have beach access?
Yes! Both cottages are located directly on Lake Erie with private beach access. You can walk right from your cottage to the sandy beach.
How far are you from local attractions?
We're centrally located in Ohio's Wine Country. Most wineries are 5-15 minutes away. Downtown Ashtabula is 10 minutes, Geneva-on-the-Lake is 15 minutes, and Cleveland is about an hour away.
Is there grocery shopping nearby?
Yes, there's a full-service grocery store about 5 miles away, and several convenience stores within 2-3 miles. We also have local farm stands and markets during summer season.
Policies & Guidelines
What is your smoking policy?
All of our cottages are non-smoking. Smoking is only permitted outside, away from entrances and windows. Please dispose of cigarette butts properly.
Can we host events or parties?
Our cottages are perfect for family gatherings and small celebrations, but we do not allow large parties or events. Guest count must not exceed the maximum occupancy listed for each cottage. Please contact us to discuss your plans.
What is your noise policy?
We ask all guests to be respectful of neighbors and maintain quiet hours between 10:00 PM and 8:00 AM. We're located in a peaceful residential area and want to maintain good relationships with our neighbors.
What happens if there's damage during my stay?
Accidents happen! Please report any damage immediately. Minor wear and tear is expected and included in your rental. For significant damage beyond normal use, you'll be responsible through VRBO's damage protection program.
Payment & Fees
What payment methods do you accept?
When booking through VRBO, all major credit cards and payment methods accepted by VRBO are available. For direct bookings, we accept credit cards, ACH transfers, and checks (with advance notice).
Are there any additional fees?
Our rates include all standard fees. Additional charges may apply for pets ($75), early check-in/late check-out (when available, $50), and mid-stay cleaning for extended stays. All fees will be clearly disclosed before booking.
When is payment due?
For VRBO bookings, payment follows their standard schedule. For direct bookings, a 50% deposit is due at booking confirmation, with the balance due 30 days before check-in.
