Geneva-on-the-Lake is Ohio's classic lakeside resort town, and its famous Strip is about 15 minutes by car from our cottages. Staying in Saybrook Township instead of on the Strip trades the crowds for quiet: our two houses sit in a peaceful residential area on the Lake Erie shoreline, with a private beach shared only between the owner and two other properties. Spend the day at Geneva-on-the-Lake, then come back to a boardwalk with umbrellas, a fire pit, and a sunset without the traffic.
The space is the other difference. Rentals near the Strip tend to run small; the Pearl Beach Lakehouse sleeps up to 13 in one house with five bedrooms, and the Lakehurst Bungalow sleeps 10 more. Rent both and the two houses sleep 23 on the same stretch of shoreline.

The Strip
Geneva-on-the-Lake's mile of arcades, eateries, and lake views is the area's summer institution, about 15 minutes from the cottages.
Geneva State Park and marina
About 12 minutes away, with its beach, trails, and the marina on Lake Erie.
Wine country

Closer to home
Walnut Beach is about 3 minutes away and historic Ashtabula Harbor about 8. Cleveland is about an hour for a day trip.
Summer is the busy season here, with a three-night minimum stay at the cottages during peak weeks and holidays. Spring and fall run quieter, drop to a two-night minimum, and line up with wine harvest season in September and October.

Do the cottages have their own beach?

When is peak season?
